			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Copper is always changing.</p>
<p>Exposed to air, copper starts reacting, changing from a shiny finish to matt and eventually a green patina. As a commodity, the price is also in constant flux on the global metals market, and as one of the most malleable of metals, copper can be shaped and crafted into a wide variety of forms and applications</p>
<p>I wanted to create a design that reflected the inherent variables in the world of copper.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Each Copper Lamp is unique, but is composed of identical numbers of bends and lengths. Initially built as a symmetrical two-dimensional structure, every joint is then orientated at random to create an individual three dimensional piece.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The price today is £512.53, but might be different tomorrow as it is pegged to the global copper markets.</p>

<p>Anyway, it was tricker than i first thought, but eventually created this.  Joe plans to use it in an up-coming exhibition, more details when i know them.</p>

<p><strong>The important thing is that the cube is always rotating in one direction &#8211; the rest is down to your brain and what it wants to see&#8230;</strong></p>
