Commission to illustrate a header for the 100 most powerful women in Hollywood article for the Hollywood Reporter
Here it is.

Here at 2&3, we like to mark the Chinese New Year celebrations with a new artwork for our blog. We know two things about this years celebrations, it being the year of the Horse and that this year is 2014. You might spot these two elements within the illustration.

We are always experimenting with new styles using our well-established 2D + 3D setup. We thoughts we’d show these new wire illustrations on the blog and get some initial feedback. Hope you like them…

All about eyes, a nice piece we did for Prevention Magazine. The article ‘focused’ on ways to care for your eyes. I won’t spoil the article, but if you get dry eyes, click and have a read!

We at 2&3 have followed the Coca-Cola ‘explosion’poster campaign and always admired the variety and styles applied to the same iconic layout, however we haven’t ever seen one which use the paper quilling style and thought it an obvious one which would really work well
So we made one, and here it is…

This punchy illustration was for a 12-page section of Ebony Magazine titled Women’s Empowerment!
The mix of essays, quotes and short articles details 100 ways to improve your life.

Prestigious Smithsonian Magazine asked us to create an illustration for their September issue themed ‘Beauty’. The article written by Camille Paglia is about how the intervention of technology, including ubiquitous hand-held devices, is blunting our response to art!

Through the nice people at Orchestra Agency we created this animated web banner for an Avis car hire campaign. – It was a pitch which unfortunately went no further, but the end result was a nice piece that we can share with you now.

All the way from Northfield, Illinois, Kraft foods asked us to create an artwork containing many of their most successful brands including Toblerone, Oreo cookies and of course Cadbury’s Chocolate. The challenge was making yellow, beige and brown foodstuffs look… nice!
They were happy and so were we.

A recent piece of illustration produced for a pitch which sadly never came to be.

We were commissioned by MC Saatchi to produce two 10 second TV advert spots for Bahrain tourism last month. They were shown primarily on CNN during Davos World Economic Forum and the results are below – simple but sweet!

Because we are big softies, we make a Valentines card each year. Some say we are a little late this year, others say we are very early…

We are particularly pleased with this piece. Weekly magazine ‘nature’ wanted us to create a series of images for the main articles within this issue. Below is the front cover, which we think is the best one.

In the frantic rush that was January, one of the many projects was this cover illustration for the Waitrose Weekend magazine. The theme was 2012 the year of the dragon, so here is what we produced…

Here is a little sneak preview of some new work we’re developing… It is a little bit of a departure from our normal style but a small taster of what’s to come!

This is the Studio 2&3 Christmas card which is going out digitally here, but as an actual, 3dimensional, physical piece of card to a lucky few! Keep an eye on your mail boxes!

“1911-2011 And Still The Nation’s Favourite”
2&3 were commissioned by Woman’s Weekly to illustrate their centenary cover, and here it is! Although neither of us has every read a copy, we do feel proud to be part of such an iconic publication which is still the best-selling magazine in the mature sector.
Congratulations to them and here’s to the next 100…

The November issue is out and there we are again in print, a small piece but perfectly formed!
The womans face incroporates intentional ageing features created by adding extra quilling lines. This supports the article’s theme of women gracefully ageing.

We were asked a few weeks ago to give our thoughts on ‘Handmade Digital’ which was the title of the October issue magazine. 10 digital ‘artists’ were contacted and all gave a little nugget of insight and in exchange a small case study of their work was published… Here is ours!

The ORANGE magazine is out! Pop into your local ORANGE shop today and pick up a copy. Our work is on the front cover and a double page spread on about page 8.

The large U.S campaign we did for VITRO and Alpina has gone on the road! Starting on the East coast in New York. Our artworks completely cover these cars, just a shame they picked these weird looking cars!
We are very proud to present the Studio 2&3 Showreel. Please have a look and come back soon to see updates!
